What to do with leftover Easter Eggs: word families

I saw this idea on somebody's blog, but I can't remember which one!  If it's yours, please tell me and I will make sure to give you a link.

Also, I couldn't find a way to do this where the letters didn't rub off when we touched them (I used sharpie).  Does anybody have any ideas to help with this?

LOVE this idea. I'm surprised the Sharpie rubbed off. Was it the new washable kind?

A paint pen might work better. I too am surprised the sharpie rubbed off.

I think this idea comes from the blog I Can Teach My Child. http://www.icanteachmychild.com/2011/04/spin-letter-easter-eggs.html

maybe try painting over the letters with clear nail polish

Lsaysl, that post from I can Teach my Child (with a very similar idea to this one) is actually what reminded me of another post with the word family Easter eggs I had seen a while back. :-)

what a cool idea! I wish I hadn't just packed away my easter eggs. You can paint over the sharpie with modge podge so it will stay on, or just touch it up every few days.

Try putting clear nail polish over the letters.  That should do the trick!

Paint pen may work to keep them from rubbing off
