I'm always looking for new ways to practice basic skills with little G. When we work on colors, often I place four or five solid colored blocks on my lap and ask G to hand me the different colors one at a time. Yesterday, I chose four crayons, scribbled with each one in a spot on a piece of paper and asked G to place each crayon on the correct scribble color.
I'd love to hear other simple color learning activities! Please share! :-)

Mine is kinda sneaky.
We play I Spy to clean her room.
Usually I am folding / putting away her clothes and I will say I spy something red and she looks and picks up something red and puts it away.
The funny thing is I taught her that even if she picks up the wrong thing, she still gets to put it away. *evil grin*. And then we switch and she I Spys a color, I guess it and whether I am right or wrong she still puts it away. She laughs at me when I get a color wrong (but not as much as I laugh that she is cleaning her room!)
Levi absolutely loves his magnetic letters and numbers, so yesterday I grouped them all by color (there are 6 colors) and we talked about there being a "red B" and "orange D" and "blue 6," etc.
